More eCommerce Options….

Since our last Merchant News in fall of 2018, there have been some significant developments in eCommerce for Harvard merchants as a result of the Revenue Management Systems project. Starting July 2019, there will be two more ways to accept ecommerce transactions while taking advantage of TouchNet GL integration.

Harvard eCommerce Gateway (HEG)

For those departments using a custom website or non-TouchNet Ready Partner (such as Salesforce), HUIT Financial Application Developers have built an integration that can connect a specialized front-end system or custom website to TouchNet payment gateway.

TouchNet uPay has pre-built integrations to over 100 TouchNet Ready Partners. With the HEG offering, there will now be a common integration framework to uPay for custom websites. This standard process allows your existing system and web site to benefit from a reduced development time for accepting payments. This new service will accept both credit card and eCheck/ACH payment types. If you would like to learn more about this offering, email otm_ecommerce@harvard.edu

Oracle Receivables

The Revenue Management Systems project team built the integration between Oracle Receivables and TouchNet uPay to enable online payments of invoices. As a result, there is now a self-service process whereby business units allow end-users to review bills, statements, and make direct online payments using Oracle iReceivables. Previously, customers had to call us to make payments.

If you do not currently use Central Account Receivables, this new process also supports sending invoices to customers for making ecommerce payments. Contact Central AR for more information.
