Recertifying your merchant account requires completing 1) PCI Awareness Training, 2) Self-Assessment Questionnaire and 3) Credit Card Merchant Agreement annually.
Maintaining PCI Compliance is a daily activity and achieved by implementing systems and processes that either minimize or remove cardholder data from the merchant’s environment. But once a year, merchants must attest to these systems and processes as part of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.
